Mastering the Mystery of Motivation

Day 2

The One Thing

Welcome to day 2.

Today I want to talk to you about what happens in the morning.

We’ve all heard the stories of those people who come to work, they look like they’ve just gone 12 rounds with a bad dream.

What do they say?

I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

And of course, what happens?

The rest of the day is often the same.

So how do you avoid the prize fight with a bad dream? How do you ensure that you get out of bed in a powerful way and are motivated to move forward and action that plan for your goal.

You do it before you get out of bed with breathing.

What? Huh?

Yep, you heard me right. Breathing. Belly breathing to be precise. You see, when you are sleeping you breathe deeply and as you come awake you quickly shift back to that shallow breathing style.

To get up powerfully, start with belly breathing.

Here’s how to do it.

Place your right hand beneath your belly button and rest it lightly there. As you breathe in deeply through your nose, aim to get your breath down to your hand and expand your belly so your hand raises and falls.

Do this for 30 seconds and then sit up.

Now switch your breathing to rapid inhale’s through your nose, pumping your naval towards your spine on each exhale. Don’t worry about the inhale, it will happen automatically.

Do this for 30 seconds and it will flood your body with oxygen. If you feel feint, slow you breathing down until you can pump faster again.

This simple exercise, all of 1 minute will absolutely wake your body up.

More importantly, it will wake up your mind.

And from here, it’s easy to get motivated.

Get up and get to work on your dreams.

And if you’re wondering about a plan – yep that’s coming in email 5.

Now, tomorrow I’m going to give you the Secret Ingredient for achievement that you’ve never thought of. Look out for the email. Yep, it’s titled Day 3 – MMR – The Secret Ingredient.

See you then.
